Over the past few weeks, we have had some queries from our customers with regards to certain products, brands or ranges. We would like to address some of them here, in case other people have the same questions.

I see that you have a Mulberry section on your website, but I can’t actually buy from it. How do I buy Mulberry from caseluggage?

Unfortunately, we are unable to sell Mulberry online. However, you can visit our stores in Bluewater, Guildford & Leeds to see our Mulberry ranges. We are excited about some new Mulberry pieces, the Bryn satchel which is the perfect day bag in a smaller size and the larger, carry-all. And also, the Mulberry Del-Ray bag. They are both coming to a Case Luggage store near you, very soon!

If I buy an item online, can I return to a store for a refund?

If you buy an item from caseluggage.com, at the moment, we are unable to offer exchanges or refunds in store. However, we do offer free delivery & returns, so if you are unhappy with your purchase, simply contact us, and we will arrange to collect it from you, and issue a refund.

I am looking for a piece of Tumi luggage that you don’t have on your site, can you get it for me?

We would be happy to try and help you find a piece of Tumi that we don’t have on our website. Please contact us with the details of the piece that you are looking for, and we will try to source it for you. We often have products in store, that are not available online, so please call us if you cant find the perfect item online. Other than Tumi, we sell luggage from brands including Rimowa, Lulu Guinness, Knomo, Samsonite, Bric’s & Delsey.

Tumi embarks on a next generation project with a groundbreaking collection by internationally renowned designer DROR BENSHETRIT.

The range has been developed by award-winning designer Dror Benshetrit, the eleven-piece collection incorporates groundbreaking features that adapt for multiple uses and respond to the multifaceted lifestyle of today’s traveller. Eight of the bags transform in some way — expanding or literally changing shape to accommodate different functions or modes of use. Globe-Trotter has recently teamed up with camera manufacturer Fujifilm to create a limited edition travel case for the new Fujifilm X-Pro1 camera. This fantastic looking case is only available in Harrods. You need to get there quickly, as only 12 of these pieces have been made. The cost for this limited edition piece, including an embossed leather ‘Harrods Exclusively’ tag? £5,695.

"When approached by Fujifilm to produce a bespoke limited-edition case for the X-Pro1, exclusively for Harrods, we were very excited," said Gary Bott, creative director at Globe-Trotter.

"The combination of a traditional suitcase with the X-Pro1 camera, a piece of modern technology at its finest, is something new and exciting for our heritage brand. As well as this, Harrods is one of our oldest customers, and it is where Queen Elizabeth II purchased her Globe-Trotter suitcases for her honeymoon, so it is always a pleasure to work with them."

Will the Tumi iPad cover (Style 14238). fit the new iPad / iPad 3?

In answer to this question, no, the Tumi iPad cover, with built in stand, will not hold the new iPad. Unfortunately, our second most popular cover, the Knomo iPad cover, will also not hold it. Both companies are working hard to develop new covers, and as soon as they are available, we will have them for sale. Please contact us if you would like to be informed when we have these products available. In the mean time, we do have a range of alternative bags & sleeves which would still protect your iPad. For example, the Tumi universal cover, a Jekyll and Hide organiser, or a Mandarina Duck backpack.

Do you have a range that is designed for taking on a Ryanair flight?.

At caseluggage.com we do not stock a range that is designed specifically for Ryanair, but we have a large choice of bags & suitcases that are designed to meet the Ryanair cabin luggage restriction size, which is currently 55 x 40 x 20cm. Whether you are looking for a Bric’s, Rimowa, or Samsonite carry-on, we have a large selection in different colours & materials.

I am looking for a wheeled business case which can hold my laptop, but needs to be as thin as possible. What can you recommend?

We can recommend three products in particular that will meet your requirements.

Firstly, this Tumi business compact wheeled brief that is supplied with a removable laptop compartment. The case is expandable by 5cm & features a sleeve on the back of it so that you can attach it to the handle of a larger wheeled bag.

Secondly, we have this Mandarina Duck wheeled pilot case which features a removable top handle. The exterior front pocket has a zipper and a pocket for airline tickets, a mobile phone pocket and a pen holder.

Finally, we have a wheeled office piece from Samsonite. This lightweight piece is perfect for taking with you, wherever you go. From the Samsonite B-Lite range, it features easy-manoeuvre wheels and plenty of internal storage space.

All the talk today surrounds the Chancellor, and the Budget for 2012. At caseluggage.com we are more concerned about that red briefcase the Chancellor is carrying around. The original briefcase was made for William Gladstone in the 1860s, but Gordon Brown ordered a new one in 1997.

Did you know?? In 1868, Chancellor George Ward-Hunt faced a problem when it came to the case that contained the budget. He discovered on opening his briefcase in Parliament, that he had left his speech at home in Number 11 Downing Street.

James Callaghan, the chancellor from 1964-67, rejected the red box as being too small and he therefore had a new larger box made in brown leather. If George Osbourne were to decide that he wants to change the case for a new design or colour, we have some suggestions for him:

The Bridge Business Attache Case

This great looking attache case is made by The Bridge from the finest leather. There are organisational pockets in the lid for documents, mobile, pens etc. Therefore, the Chancellor could keep everything neat & tidy inside.

Tumi Business Tennyson Attache

The Tumi Townhouse Tennyson Attache Case features a combination lock so the Chancellor could prevent people from taking a peak at his work before he presents it to the country in Parliament. It also has a top carry handle, and leather corners and trim. The interior is fully lined and features a divider and organizer panels.

Quindici Attached Pilot Case on Wheels

Perhaps this Quindici Pilot Case on Wheels would be more appropriate for the Chancellor? It would allow him to wheel the Budget around in style, without having to pick it up and carry it.

Knomo Business Kilkenny Cross Body 10" Messenger

The Chancellor could move away from the traditional case, and opt for a Knomo messenger bag instead. The Knomo Kilkenny is one of the most comfortable man-bags around. It has plenty of space inside for the Budget, and also the Chancellor’s iPad or laptop.

If the Chancellor chooses a Tumi piece, perhaps he will stop and visit the newly refurbished concession in Selfridges, Oxford Street, in the luggage department.

The company was founded by Englishman, David Nelken, in Saxony Germany, the company soon returned to the UK in 1901 where it has remained ever since. Today, Globe-Trotter products are seen to be luxury style icons. They are loved by everybody who owns one, and even those who don’t.

All their products are hand made in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire using original manufacturing methods. Each case is uniquely constructed from vulcanised fibreboard; a special material that was invented in Britain during the 1850’s, which consists of multiple layers of bonded paper. The handles are produced by the leather team who also form the iconic Globe-Trotter corners over a period of 5-days.
