In case you haven’t heard already, Richard Branson is giving his Twitter followers the chance to win a trip to New York this coming weekend (Friday 28 October – Sunday 30 October) with Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays. Having seem some of the lugagge posted by entrants  we decided to also offeri the winner £300 worth of brand new luggage (of their choice) for their trip. Richard fired the starting pistol on the ‘Suitcase Race’ last week, by asking his followers to tweet him a photo of themselves with a suitcase. He will pick one picture at midday (London time) tomorrow, Tuesday 25 October and the winner will then have to get themselves (and a travelling companion!) ready to come and meet Richard, and a Case Luggage representative in London on Friday 28 October.

This tour includes a champagne toast on an evening harbor cruise, a luxury coach tour, a walking tour of the new elevated park in the Meatpacking District, dinner in Little Italy, and a trip to the Top of the Rock.

British rap superstar Tinie Tempah was left fuming after he arrived stateside without his belongings ahead of a concert in Boston, Massachusetts. Airline staff seem to have lost the Brit Winner’s luggage en route from London after he took a short break from his U.S tour.

In fact, Mr Tempah dashed back to London in order to  attend the prestigious Ivor Novello Awards on Thursday, where he took the award for Best Contemporary Song, for his hit single Pass Out.

He was back on a British Airways flight straight after the event, but found himself with no bags when he touched down in Boston for his gig on the Friday.

Tinie’s Tempah was clearly evident on Twitter where he posted, "Argh my flipping bags… Again… I hate Flying with BA!!!!!"

Perhaps BA/Tinie should have purchased a Nio Security Tag so that nothing ever gets lost!

“This must be the place”, a film by Paolo Sorrentino and starring Sean Penn, is about Cheyenne – a wealthy former rock star, now bored and jaded in his retirement, who embarks on a quest to find his father’s persecutor an ex-Naxi war criminal now hiding out in the U.S. As he sets out on this trip, his Tumi Bedford Carry-On becomes his trusty travel companion. The bag acts as a supporting character in this film as it remains by Penn’s side as he sets out on a life-altering journey across the heartland of America to track down and confront his father’s nemesis.

We must say that the Bedford’s performance was something we had never seen before, an inspiring film debut that we hope is only the beginning for Tumi’s career in cinema. Although the film may not have picked up any awards we would like to award Tumi the coveted Case Luggage Award for an Outstanding Performance.

Congratulations to all those involved with the Cannes Film Festival and the success that it was – we can’t wait for next year’s! Maybe Tumi might produce another short film for next years festival like the one they have done below!

Rimowa celebrated the re-opening of its Beverly Hills store with a star-studded event that saw a pregnant, but glamorous, Jessica Alba act as hostess.

Rimowa, a brand that was established in 1898, is still a family-owned company with Chief Executive Director Dieter Morszeck being the grandson of the company’s founder. Mr. Morszeck was at the big event and presented Alba with two miniature trolleys, one for her daughter, Honor, and the other for the child she is expecting!

Mr. Morszeck described the event “like a family party”, and it truly was,with not only Alba expecting. The wife of former KISS star Paul Stanley was also sporting a baby bump.
