The business Revelation Piccadilly was first established in 1923 when a luggage store opened at 170 Piccadilly – the current site of the first and largest TUMI European Flagship store. This probably makes 170 Picadilly the oldest luggage store in the country.

All through the war years, the store survived, offering Revelation branded luggage which was considered to be the premier collection of luggage – especially the unique expanding suitcases, serving Royalty, Noblemen, Dignitaries amongst others.

In  the late 1960’s the owners sold the rights to the Revelation name to Antler for the purpose of producing and wholesaling luggage. Unfortunately it was used as a cheap brand by Antler. The Revelation store continued to trade selling more upmarket multi branded luggage.

In 1988 Revelation Piccadilly (the Retail Trading Company) was sold to Stephen Spitz who set about refurbishing the store, and offering slightly more contemporary brands. It was felt that there was no better end luggage business being offered in the UK and through a sister company started to import, distribute and retail various  International brands, including TUMI, Zero Halliburton, Kipling, and Longchamp.

Having secured 2 further stores – one in Guildford and one in the City of London, the Retail business was sold in 1992, and Stephen Spitz pursued other retail interests. In mid 1997 for numerous reasons Revelation Piccadilly was repurchased by Stephen Spitz and his Key management team.

Between 1997 and 2008, the whole management team worked extremely hard through challenging times and incidents, especially the impact of 9/11, to expand their retail business mainly through in store concessions and some freestanding and airport stores, whilst securing further exclusive distribution and retail rights for the very best brands available globally in the category.

The opening of a TUMI store, concessions in the best department stores in the UK and Ireland, and the change of name from Revelation Piccadilly to Case London were key decisions taken between 1998 and 2002.

A look at the current store listing shows where the retail business is today – dominating the top end of the travel good market through its real estate and in store departments as well as through owning the exclusive wholesale and distribution rights in the UK for Tumi, Bric's, Mandarina Duck, Delsey, and Eagle Creek.

We are especially proud of our travel goods department in Harrods which is generally considered to be the best in the world, and also of our continued associations with Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, and Hoopers.

We now trade from 11 stores as well as our newly created web presence.

The ethos of the company however remains the same and we look forward to building business in our present stores as well as expanding our presence on the web and through other channels.

Having worked together for between 10 and 20 years the team above represents many years in the industry. One of the questions we often get asked is what is your 5 year plan or your 10 your goal for the business.  The answer is that we do not have an answer; as it is ever moving and changes every week!

We are cautious and wish to maintain our foothold in the market place  – we certainly have a very clear strategy and focus for the immediate future, but are on a weekly basis evaluating new and different  opportunities.
