Warranty periods vary depending on the brand and the specific collection. Some brands offer standard multi-year warranties, while others provide extended or lifetime repair guarantees.
The information below explains the warranty support offered by each brand available at Case, including warranty length, whether product registration is required, what the warranty typically covers, and how to contact the authorised repair centre.
Always keep your proof of purchase. For online orders this will be your Case invoice, and for in-store purchases this will be your receipt. This documentation is normally required when submitting a warranty claim.
Different luggage brands offer different types of warranty support. Some focus on manufacturing defects, while others provide more extensive repair coverage.
Typical warranty coverage includes faults such as:
Most warranties apply only when the item has been used under normal travel conditions.
Cosmetic wear such as scratches, scuffs, dents or fabric marks is usually not covered. Damage caused during airline handling is also normally excluded unless specifically stated by the brand.
Some manufacturers, including Briggs & Riley offer more extensive warranty programmes that may cover airline damage or provide lifetime repair support.

Briggs & Riley is widely recognised for its lifetime guarantee, which covers the functional repair of your luggage for the life of the product. Even airline damage may be repaired under their warranty if the airline does not cover the repair.
Carl Friedrik also provides a lifetime warranty on functional components such as stitching, zips, handles and metal hardware when the product is registered.
Brands such as Samsonite, Bric’s and Delsey provide multi year global warranties covering manufacturing defects and authorised repair support through official service centres.

What does a manufacturer warranty cover?
Most manufacturer warranties cover faults in materials or workmanship. This usually includes issues such as broken wheels, faulty handles, defective zips, or structural faults that occur during normal use. Cosmetic wear, accidental damage, misuse, and airline handling damage are usually excluded unless stated otherwise.
Is airline damage covered under warranty?
In most cases, no. Airline damage is not covered by manufacturer warranties. If your luggage is damaged while flying, you must report it to the airline immediately at the airport before leaving arrivals. Some brands, such as Briggs & Riley and Victorinox, offer limited airline damage cover in specific circumstances.
Do I need to register my product for the warranty to be valid?
This depends on the brand. Some brands require registration to activate or extend the warranty, while others do not. Where registration is required, links are provided in the table above. Always keep your proof of purchase.
What proof of purchase do I need?
You will need your original Case invoice for online orders or your receipt for in-store purchases. If you have misplaced your invoice, contact Case Customer Services and we can help provide a copy where possible.
What is not covered by warranty?
Warranties generally do not cover:

How do I make a warranty claim?

Should I contact Case or the brand directly?
It depends on the brand. Some warranties are handled directly by the manufacturer, while others are managed through authorised UK repair centres or via Case Customer Services. The table above clearly shows who to contact for each brand.
Will my item be repaired or replaced?
This depends on the brand’s assessment. If the issue is covered under warranty, the brand may repair the item, replace parts, offer a replacement, or in some cases issue a refund if repair is not possible.
How long do warranty repairs take?
Repair times vary by brand and repair centre. Most repairs take several weeks, depending on the issue, parts availability, and assessment time. The repair centre will advise you directly once your claim is submitted.
Does warranty cover second-hand or gifted items?
Most warranties apply only to the original purchaser and require proof of purchase. Some brands may accept gifted items if the original receipt is provided.
What if my item is damaged but not covered under warranty?
If damage is not covered, the repair centre will usually offer a paid repair quote. You can then choose whether to proceed.
Are warranty terms affected by UK consumer law?
Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected by manufacturer warranties. If an item is faulty within a reasonable period after purchase, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under consumer law. Warranty coverage applies in addition to these rights.
