Limited Edition BFC NEWGEN Alumni Tote Bags Supporting Future Designers
To celebrate three decades of nurturing future generations of excellence, and to continue raising crucial funds, these BFC NEWGEN Alumni designers kindly donated signature prints that have been beautifully reimagined into a limited edition run of keepsakes. The collection of luxury tote bags have been consciously developed and manufactured in India by a majority female workforce, printed using REACH compliant non-toxic inks on sustainably sourced cotton, and all in partnership with Bags of Ethics. A donation from each bag goes directly to the charity which supports the next generation of young designers in the UK through the BFC Foundation.
Meet The Designers
Multi-award winning label Ahluwalia was launched in 2018 by Priya Ahluwalia. Ahluwalia represents the intersection between near and far, past and present. The label combines elements from the designer's dual Indian-Nigerian heritage and London roots. It explores the potential of vintage and surplus clothing by giving existing material a new life through various textile and patchwork techniques. This means that many Ahluwalia pieces are one of a kind.
