The Roll-and-Tuck Method
One of the most popular packing methods is rolling your clothes. This technique not only saves space but also prevents garments from wrinkling. Start by rolling each item tightly, starting from the bottom and working your way up. Then, tuck these compact rolls into the available gaps in your suitcase. This method is particularly useful for t-shirts, trousers, and other non-delicate items.
Wrap Packing
Lay a large garment, such as a blazer or dress, flat at the bottom of the suitcase. Next, layer other clothes on top, alternating the direction of each item. Finally, fold the outermost garment over the bundle to secure everything in place. When unpacked, each item will be wrinkle-free and ready to wear.
Bundle Packing
Unlike the wrapping method where longer items are folded around smaller ones, the bundle packing method takes a different approach. Bundling is done on an outfit basis, ensuring that each complete ensemble stays together and remains easily accessible. Begin by organising your socks and underwear, then proceed to wrap the shirt around them, followed by the trousers. By bundling your clothes in this manner, you maintain the integrity of each outfit while also ensuring that everything you need for a particular day or occasion is neatly grouped together.
